Vitamin C is important for the human body because of its many benefits, it is naturally present in some foods, and added to others, and it is also available as a dietary supplement, and some are not aware of its effect on the body if consumed on a daily basis, which is what the eatthis website pointed out.
According to Darren Marines, an emergency physician at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, the vitamin is essential to every diet — and knowing what a daily intake of vitamin C does to your body is important, noting that vitamin C is naturally present in many foods and is not synthesized by the body.
Food sources of this vitamin include citrus fruits, peppers, Brussels sprouts, tomatoes, cantaloupe, potatoes, strawberries and spinach, however, some people prefer to take it in supplement form.

According to the National Institutes of Health, there is an abundance of research supporting that vitamin C can help prevent cancer, and they reveal that most case-control studies have found an inverse relationship between dietary vitamin C intake and cancers of the lung, breast, colon or rectum, stomach, oral cavity, larynx or pharynx and esophagus;

There is some conflicting evidence that large amounts of vitamin C can increase urinary oxalate and uric acid excretion, which may contribute to kidney stone formation.
