Zamalek handball goalkeeper Karim Hendawy expressed his happiness at winning the African Super Cup with his team after winning against Al-Ahly.
Zamalek crowned the African Super Handball title after beating Al-Ahly 28-27 today, Friday.
Hendawy spoke, during statements to Ontime Sport satellite channel after the match, about a snapshot of their relations with Al-Ahly players before the match in the stadium, saying: “This is normal, we play together in the national team, and this is a sport and there is no intolerance, and we are all friends outside the stadium.”
The goalkeeper of the Zamalek team noted that their match against Al-Ahly was difficult, adding: “A match worthy of Egyptian handball, thank God for the victory after this difficult match.”
Hindawi concluded his statements by saying: “I thank the fans of Zamalek, and the least we give them is the Super Championship, and it is important for Egypt that Al-Ahly or Zamalek play the African Super Final and an important gain for us at the beginning of the season.”
After its victory against Al-Ahly, Zamalek raised its score to the seventh title of the African Super Cup, to qualify for the Club World Cup in handball, “Super Globe”.
