The British Sky Sports network claimed today, Tuesday, that the Turkish club Galatasaray inquired of Arsenal about the possibility of contracting Mohamed Elneny, a player for the Gunners, before the summer transfer window closed in Turkey.
Elneny previously played in the Turkish league with Besiktas on loan from September 2019 to August 2020.
According to Sky, the Turkish club’s management contacted Arsenal in order to inquire about the possibility of including the 29-year-old.
And “Sky” indicated that Arsenal may try to achieve financial benefit from El-Nini, rather than seeing him leave the Emirates Stadium for free by next year (his contract with Arsenal expires at the end of June 2022).
It is worth noting that the Turkish channel NTV Spor indicated a few days ago that Besiktas has restored his interest in the Egyptian international and is trying to include him before the transfer window closes tomorrow, Wednesday.
