El Sewedy Electric Company said, in a statement to the Stock Exchange today, Tuesday, that its subsidiary, El Sewedy Electric for Trade and Distribution, signed today two contracts to implement a project to construct 3 transformer stations in Central and North Sinai, with a total value of EGP 1.150 billion on a turnkey system, for the benefit of the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company.
She added that one of the two contracts, with a value of 970 million pounds, is related to the implementation of the project of constructing two WPS1 and WPS2 transformer stations, a voltage of 22/66/220 KV, a capacity of (40 * 6 + 175 * 3) MFA, of the gas-insulated GIS type.
She added that the value of the second contract amounts to 180 million pounds, and is related to the implementation of the project to construct a WPS3 transformer station, a voltage of KV 66/22, a capacity of (40 * 3) MFA, of a gas-insulated GIS type.
The company stated that the business scope of El Sewedy Electric for Trade and Distribution includes the design, supply and installation of the entire project on a turnkey basis, provided that it will be operational within 16 months.
El Sewedy Electric is a listed company on the Egyptian Stock Exchange and works in the field of providing integrated energy and infrastructure solutions in Africa and the Middle East. El Sewedy Electric for Trade and Distribution owns 99.8%.
