A sports marketing company offered Dutch coach Martin Jol to the Football Association in order to take over a striker to train the national team.
The Football Association had decided to dismiss coach Hossam El-Badri, on Monday, after a 1-1 draw with Gabon in the match that was held for the second round of the African qualifiers for the World Cup.
The Football Association announced that an urgent meeting was opened in order to contract with a new technical director to succeed Al-Badri, provided that the file would be completed within 48 hours, according to the statement of the Football Association.
A sports marketing company offered coach Martin Jol – 65 years old – to the Football Association in order to lead the team during the coming period.
Martin Jol had led a number of teams, most notably Tottenham, Ajax and Al-Ahly Club, which he coached in 2016.
