Six people died and 371 others sustained injuries of varying degrees in traffic accidents that were recorded across different parts of the country during the past 48 hours, according to a toll reported today, Saturday, by the civil protection services.
On the other hand, the bodies of three people swept away by the waters of Wadi Matar in the municipality of Bousaada (Al-Masila) were recovered.
They are two men, aged 41 and 56, and a 9-year-old child. During the same period, the death of 5 people drowned in the sea and water complexes in the states of M’sila, Tebessa, Annaba and Boumerdes were recorded.
With regard to activities related to the prevention of the spread of the Corona virus, during the same period, civil protection units carried out 174 awareness-raising operations across the entire national territory to urge citizens and remind them of the need to respect the rules of quarantine and social distancing.
For the same purpose, 34 sterilization operations were carried out, affecting public and private facilities and structures, in addition to residential complexes and streets, the same source adds.
