The people of this area have been trolled for many years. So at a very young age I realized, I have to find a way to protect myself from this troll! I started lying about where I came from. I would not bring any of my school friends home so that they would not hear my parents’ regional language and get an idea of my area. Growing up, I realized how it affects the mind, how it creates a void in our heart, when we can’t know our own identity, can’t accept ourselves, can’t feel comfortable with our own identity. The subject has inspired my work. The pain of this non-existence of childhood is felt in the central character of “No Lands Man”.
