Today, the United Arab Emirates received 41 athletes, artists and activists from Afghanistan to escape the inferno of the Taliban movement that took control of the country.
According to a report broadcast by “Sky News”, since the Taliban came to power, the UAE has received eight thousand Afghan refugees, and today a number of artists, activists and athletes arrived at the airport in Abu Dhabi.
The UAE, along with international partners, contributed to the evacuation of these athletes and stars of art and sports, fleeing the inferno of the Taliban movement, which is hostile to art, sports and freedom activists.
The UAE hosts these refugees while providing health care and basic needs, in order to improve their conditions.
“Shakiba” – an Afghan singer – told “Sky News – I was working as a singer and activist, and when Kabul fell, I hid in a house, because everyone knows that the Taliban movement is hostile to art and singers, especially female singers, and I did not know what would happen to me, and I was very afraid and tried everything Ways out of the country to save my life.
One of the media professionals who fled Kabul said: “The situation was a reason and we had to leave our country, and it was a painful moment for us to leave our families and homes there, but we are happy that we got out alive because our lives are no longer in danger now that we arrived in the Emirates, I was working in the media field in Afghanistan and when I arrived Taliban We couldn’t stay and we went out and got to safety. I am very happy to be here, but I am sad to leave my family.
