The Bank of Algeria stated that “in line with the theme of the new series of coins and banknotes that commemorate our glorious liberation war and symbols of our history, the new one-hundred-dinar coin bears the image of the Mujahid and martyr Ali Ammar, called Ali La Pointe, who fell in the field of honor on October 8, 1957.”
The bank stated that “this new coin is the third edition of the new series of coins and banknotes, which witnessed the creation, issuance and circulation of a banknote of 2000 Algerian dinars and a coin of 200 Algerian dinars, Regulations No. 2020-05, No. 2020-06, No. 2020-07 of December 7, 2020”.
