Veteran striker Salah Amin, player of Wadi Degla, hung his shoes and announced his retirement from football, after a long career in Egyptian football.
The 39-year-old announced his retirement from football permanently, and decided to join the technical staff of Smouha Club of Alexandria.
Salah Amin began his professional football career with Al-Qanat Club, before moving to Al-Ismaili Club in the 2006-2007 season, but quickly left the Dervishes one year after his move, to join the Al-Dakhiliya team.
But his career with the Interior team did not last long either, as he spent only one season, before moving to the Tala’a Al-Jaish club, which showed the capabilities of the sniper striker and his talent exploded there with the military team.
Salah Amin spent 6 years with the army team, from 2008 to 2014, but his career with the military team did not continue, and he decided to move to Smouha Club and from there to the Military Production Club after only one season with the Alexandrian team.
Salah Amin’s movement between the Egyptian League teams continued, as the veteran striker decided to return to the ranks of the Vanguard Army team again in 2017, to stay there for a season, before moving to the Stars team and from there to the Misr Al-Maqasa team, and finally Salah Amin moved to Wadi Club Tigris, who decided to end his career with it.
Salah Amin participated in a total of 280 matches in the Egyptian League, accompanied by all the clubs that wore his shirt, during which he scored 76 goals, 36 goals with the Vanguards of the Army, 13 goals with the Military Production, 13 goals with the stars, 6 goals with Smouha, 4 goals with Misr El-Maqasa, And 4 goals with Wadi Degla.
Salah Amin’s last goal was in the Wadi Degla shirt, during the defeat in the Smouha match (2-1), which is his 76th goal in his football career, through which he managed to surpass the number of Imad Miteb, who scored 75 goals in his career in the league.
Salah Amin was famous for his global goals, as he scored a wonderful goal in 2015, in the Tala’a Al-Jaish shirt against Al-Entaj Al-Harby club, with a wonderful scissor kick, which many international newspapers likened to the goal of English star Wayne Rooney, Manchester United player, in the Manchester derby against Manchester City.
Salah Amin drew the international press to him again with a wonderful goal against Tanta in the Egyptian League, as the Spanish newspaper “Marca” praised him.
At the African level, Salah Amin participated in the African Champions League with the Smouha team of Alexandria, and played 3 matches, during which he scored one goal against the Maghreb team, Tetouan.
As for the international level, the 39-year-old only participated in one international match with the Egyptian national team during the training period of Hassan Shehata for the national team, and that was on October 2, 2009, and it was a friendly match against the Mauritius team, during which he played for only 16 minutes.
