The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra discussed, this Sunday evening, 4 current issues with Nigerian President Muhammad Bazoum.
At the beginning of his visit to the Republic of Niger in his capacity as a special envoy of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Amamra handed President Bazoum a message of friendship and appreciation from his brother President Tebboune that reaffirmed the strategic and distinctive nature of bilateral relations and the two countries’ readiness to join forces at the bilateral and multilateral levels to meet the common challenges facing the continent In general, and the coastal desert region in particular.
The meeting was an opportunity for a fruitful exchange on the situation prevailing in the Sahel-Saharan strip, which is characterized by the escalation of the terrorist threat, and ways and means to enhance the answers that came at the regional and African levels.
The exchanges were characterized by a broad consensus of views and a common will to work to strengthen the tradition of consultation and coordination on all issues of common interest between the two countries.
The two parties expressed their satisfaction with the quality of the historical relations of friendship, cooperation, solidarity and good neighborliness that bind the two countries, while reaffirming their commitment and determination to continue efforts in order to promote bilateral cooperation to complement the results of the recent visit of President Bazoum to Algeria.
