The director of the project to combat mold in potatoes confirmed that the project examined 9,453 samples with a total amount of (18,8774.534 tons) until today, Monday, September 6, to prepare the seeds before the planting season in an appropriate period for farmers.
Dr. Naglaa Balable indicated that maintenance was carried out for the areas free of mold disease, which is estimated at 3742 acres, out of the total areas of areas free of brown mold disease that were established (7865) acres.

She explained that this area includes about nine new farms with a total of 72 Pivots until the date of 6/9/2021.
It is worth mentioning that the total area of vacant areas has so far reached 621 thousand feddans, and it has reached 620 thousand and 644 tons, to occupy the second place in agricultural exports after citrus.
