Vietnam announced today, Monday, September 6, the extension of precautionary measures aimed at curbing the outbreak of the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19) for two weeks in the capital, Hanoi.
The Philippine network “ABS-CBN” reported that the authorities divided the capital into “red”, “orange” and “green” areas based on the risk of infection, and barriers were placed separating the red areas from other areas.
A third of Hanoi’s 8 million people have been fully vaccinated, and the Ministry of Health has called on the capital’s authorities to finish vaccinating the entire adult population with at least one dose by September 15.
Vaccination rates against the Corona virus in Vietnam are the lowest in the region, with only 3.3% of its population of 98 million people fully vaccinated.
