Former South African President Jacob Zuma has been released on parole. The court granted him parole last Sunday due to physical illness. Earlier, the court sentenced him to 15 months for not appearing in court in a corruption case.
Zuma, 69, has been in a hospital outside the jail since August 8 for treatment, AFP reported. He was jailed for corruption during his nine-year presidency until 2016.
