Said Nassiri, president of the Moroccan club Wydad, responded to the news that linked Walid El Karti, the team’s player, to a move to the ranks of Zamalek and Pyramids during the current summer transfers.
During statements reported by the Moroccan newspaper “Al-Muktab”, Al-Nasiri said: “We did not agree with Zamalek or with Pyramids, and there is no truth to the news of Walid’s transfer to any of them.”
He added, “We promised El Karti that he will benefit as well as others from the professional experience, provided that he receives a respectable offer that befits him as a great player and one of the most prominent Wydad players throughout his modern history.”
He continued, “There is another condition for the departure of Al-Karti and the rest of the influential players in the team, which is the availability of an alternative with the same specifications, or at least close to them.”
He continued: “So far, as long as the coach of the team did not allow the transfer of Karti, nothing will happen and we are not concerned with what is being circulated.”
And he concluded: “Al-Karti is currently with the team, and we will not neglect it except in a way that satisfies him and the club’s management.”
