Books – Ali Al-Bahaji:
Mahmoud Abdel Razek Shikabala expressed his wish to take over the task of coaching the white team after the end of his career as a football player, stressing that he will take training courses after his retirement from football.
Shikabala said in statements to MBC Egypt: “I will go into training after announcing my retirement from playing. I will travel to the Netherlands at Cruyff School to take a training course and obtain a training certificate, and my wish is to train Zamalek.”
He added, “I say to those who talk about winning the league 42 titles. You know how you took it. If Zamalek won the “miss,” Zamalek’s time would have had 42 league titles, and Al-Ahly had 13 titles.”
He continued, “I will continue to play as long as I can be with the team, and when I feel unable to do so, I will decide to retire and then go into coaching.”
On his opinion of the French coach, Patrice Carteron, coach of Zamalek, he confirmed that he is a smart coach, and a number of players have turned to the best in his presence because he understands well the nature of Egyptian players, at first I was sad because of his departure from the team before the African final against Al-Ahly.
He continued, “I and Abdel Shafi sat with him and said, “I cannot train with you because of your departure, and then he told me why he left the team, and I understood his position and things became fine.”
And he concluded his statements: “Outside the field, any player who was facing a financial problem was Carteron the first to speak to solve it in cooperation with Osama Nabih and Ahmed Abdel-Maqsoud.”
