Cairo – Masrawy:
Ahmed Mujahid, head of the committee in charge of managing the Egyptian Football Association, said that everyone came out of the atmosphere and “mood” of the Egyptian League championship, adding that the presence of Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool player, among the team’s players benefits the team, morally and technically.
Salah joined the national team delegation, which is currently in Gabon, in preparation for the second round of African qualifiers for the World Cup.
Salah’s presence in the first round match against Angola faltered after the English Premier League refused to travel its players to the “red list” countries, including Egypt, due to Corona.
During statements to the “Ajman Al-Tala” program broadcast on the “On Time Sports 2” satellite channel, Mujahid said: “We have provided all means of comfort to the team, and the presence of Salah, morally and technically, certainly benefits the team.”
He added, “Salah’s keenness on his presence and focus gave the players a positive feeling about the importance of the match and entering the qualifying atmosphere.”
He continued, “We got out of the atmosphere and (mod) of the league, and the presence of Salah with the rest of the professionals and some stars gave everyone the feeling that we entered the atmosphere of the World Cup qualifiers.”
Regarding the absence of Mohamed El-Nini, he replied: “We certainly hoped El-Nini would be with us. Hassan Trezeguet in the national team during the qualifying campaign.
It is worth noting that the national team shares the lead in Group F with Libya with 3 points each, as the Pharaohs beat Angola with a goal without a response in the first round, and Libya won 2-1 over Gabon in the same round.
