El Sewedy Electric Power Transmission and Distribution, a subsidiary of El Sewedy Electric, said it has signed a $16.7 million contract for the Ghana State Electricity Company to construct a 33/11 Kv turnkey transformer substation.
According to the company’s statement sent to the Stock Exchange today, Sunday, the contract was signed last Thursday.
The scope of El Sewedy Electric’s power transmission and distribution business includes the project’s turnkey works, provided that the plant will start operating within 24 months from the date of commencement of works.
El Sewedy Electric is a provider of integrated energy solutions in Africa and the Middle East, and is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of cables and meters, especially smart meters.
