The Mauritanian government responds to the Zionist reports
The Minister of Culture, the official spokesman for the Mauritanian government, Mokhtar Ould Dahi, denied the existence of any contacts between his country and the Zionist entity “neither in secret nor in public.” In a press conference, at the end of the week, in the capital, Nouakchott, the minister said: “I categorically deny any contacts with Israel in this field or in any field.”
He continued: “I want to say that our relations are governed by the Palestinian cause and are based on two constants, our absolute bias towards the interests and rights of the Palestinian people, where the rights and interests of the Palestinian people find Mauritanian diplomacy, and the second constant is that what we do in our diplomatic relations publicly is nothing secret… Our relations are above the table and zero. under the table”.
The Mauritanian minister’s comments came in response to Zionist media reports, which spoke on Wednesday about the existence of extensive and advanced contacts with the Mauritanian government to establish diplomatic relations between the two sides.
