Earlier, the results of the West Bengal Assembly elections were announced on May 2. Then the violence of the victorious Trinamool Congress started across the state. The violence has led to serious incidents of murder, unnatural deaths and rape in the state. In most cases, the victims are BJP leaders, activists and supporters. Cases were filed in 31 cases for these crimes. But the state police did not take any visible action in these cases.
Subsequently, one complaint after another was lodged with the CBI and the Calcutta High Court. Following the hearing of the case on August 19, a five-member larger division bench of the Calcutta High Court directed the CBI to investigate the murder, rape and unnatural deaths. A special investigation committee set up by the West Bengal state government will investigate the less important crimes.
