Mobile phone addiction is common to many people, and despite the benefits of modern technology and the use of mobile phones, excessive use may negatively affect human health, as it can lead to weight gain, temporary blindness, in addition to the spread of bacteria, and others. Among the other damages, we mention them to you, according to what was reported by the “bestlifeonline” website.
You know that the blue light emitted by your phone screen can interfere with your sleep, as scientists at the University of Granada, Spain, have linked sleep disorders such as those caused by your phone to obesity and diabetes.
These disturbances prevent your body from producing the hormone ghrelin and leptin, two hunger hormones that help regulate your appetite during waking hours. Turn off the phone before going to sleep.
Changing the structure of your brain:
Research published in the scientific journal PLoS One suggests that, in addition to shortening your attention span, media multitasking can alter the physical structure of your brain. People who engage in greater media multitasking actually have lower gray matter density in the anterior segment. of the cingulate cortex of the brain, which is associated with decreased cognitive control and social and emotional regulation.
Putting people at risk:
Driving with your phone in your hand isn’t the only way you put yourself at risk on the roads. A study published in the Journal of Community Health that observed 21,760 pedestrians at five busy intersections in Manhattan found that half of the people who were crossing despite a no-walk signal They would wear headphones and talk on the phone, or look at an electronic device, so phones put people at risk.
Despite being the thing that keeps you in touch with your entire circle of friends, your phone can cause you social anxiety, and for many, that anxiety may be the result of feeling the need to respond immediately to every text, email, or notification you receive.
In addition to messing with your sleep cycle, looking at your phone in bed can also cause temporary blindness. If you lie on your side in the dark and look at your phone with one eye, you can go temporarily blind, so it’s best to stop bringing your phone to bed.
You take your phone with you everywhere in the kitchen, bedroom and toilet, so it may become a breeding ground for germs and bacteria, and then you put it on your face, MRSA bacteria have been found in cell phones, and even if there is no MRSA germ on your phone, there are definitely some other germs that crawls on this thing.
Between the time you spend looking at the computer and the time you spend staring at your phone, it’s fairly likely that you strain your eyes on a regular basis.
Plugging headphones into your ears and blasting some beats from your phone is a great way to block out traffic sounds on your way home, but unfortunately, it’s also a way to permanently damage your hearing.
It’s entirely possible to become addicted to your phone, so smartphone withdrawal can cause physical symptoms like anxiety, insomnia and depression, and it actually increases production of the stress hormone cortisol, which is toxic to the heart.
